Dead Animal Collection
For dead animal collection in the street or on public property, complete an online service request or call Public Works at (414) 471-8422.
If there is a dead animal on private property, place the dead animal in the garbage bin. Placing the dead animal in a bag is preferred, but not required.
If there is a dead deer on private property, the deer may be placed on the curb for pickup outside of the garbage bin. This can be done outside of the regular collection schedule, but call Public Works at (414) 471-8422 when it is out at the curb.
Other Animals
- If you see a stray dog or cat, contact Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC).
- If there is an animal causing a nuisance on your property (such as raccoons, skunks, or other wildlife), contact a professional animal or pest control company.
- If you find an injured animal, contact the Wisconsin Humane Society.
